The BlueOptics BLMC001 Gigabit Media Converter uses Auto-Negotiation and automatically detects whether the copper port speed is 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1G, and performs a rate conversion to 100 Mbps or Gigabit if the fiber SFP speed is different.
